Very informative! Made a spectacular drive even more enjoyable. So good, we listened to the guide driving north and then for a second time on the drive south. Well worth the price.

Great app to have!

I really enjoy using gypsy guide (I have rented them before the app was available). I was disappointed that the ice fields parkway tour and Banff, lake Louise, yoho tour had the same information on them. I would have liked to have heard some new facts. Also the woman speaking on the tour at times talks like she is talking to a child. A more "grown up" tone of voice would have been appreciated. Some pull-outs and landmarks were on the opposite side of the road than what the tour said, making us miss some as we were looking for a pullout on the left and drove past the one on the right, not finding one on the left up ahead.

This is the same review Ive posted for all versions I bought. I downloaded this as opposed to renting the actual Gypsy guide and I regret it. It was supposed to automatically acknowledge the selected path once you drove past the start point but it didnt. I was able to play the points manually but had to guess where they were. Not to mention the danger of taking you eyes off the road to play them manually. I bought all the ones associated with Banff/Jasper national parks and it was a complete waste of money.

This app is great. It made for a very nice drive from Jasper to Lake Louise. It would be nice to see more tours of areas in the Rockies. There is a lot to see and do. Make more of them!

The app worked great, like having your own personal guide. It came on automatically (used Ipad with cellular) and switched easily from our music playlist to the commentary when we came to one of the tour points. We only had to reboot the app once after a stop at a rest area and it quickly picked up where we left off. The commentary was informative and entertaining. Well worth the purchase.

My wife and I used this app for our drive up to jasper. It was well worth the price and would have been worth even more. It worked flawlessly and the timing of the information was very accurate. There were 2 or 3 instances when it seemed like the recording had left and right confused, but it wasnt a big deal. Currently this only works from Banff to Jasper, but it would be nice to have this work the other way too. Also, it would be handy to have a progress bar to show you how far along the road youve made it. All in all, great app!

This app is easy to use and gives interesting and useful information about the area. Well worth the price.

Great app that requires no data connection. It added so much color to our trip last weekend. I highly recommend it for your trip.

Awesome drive & this app made it much more interesting.

This was the best $5 I ever spent. We drove in both directions, and it was spot on! Dont take the trip without it. When you got out of the car to hike or sightsee, it picked up,right where it left off, gives you a history lesson along the way, suggests places to stop,to eat, lets,you know how long a hike is, how difficult, etc. 10 thumbs up!

GyPSy guide to the Icefields Parkway is fantastic! Its like having a knowledgable and entertaining guide in the car with you for the entire ride. Its very easy to use. It works in both directions with new information for each drive. It doesnt use your cellphone data, only the GPS, so you dont need an extended data plan. This one of the best apps Ive ever used! I hope the company expands their repertoire to many more tourist areas. I cant wait to try the Hawaii guides this winter.

This is a great GPS guided your of the ice fields. Interesting historic information about the area and notifications of all points of interest along the drive.

I was super excited when I saw this! And gladly paid. But its a too large file to download on wifi as an international tourist trying to find a good wifi near the location. Then in using the app the location feature just would not work. Re-starts, changed settings etc..to get the location services to recognize my iPad. But then in this remote area with no cell service, it would not find any updated GPS locations...and the point of the app to auto-play as you drive didnt work. Very frustrating as a great idea!! How do I get my money back?!

Great addition to a fantastic drive!

I have paid big $ for tours and this app was as good and yet I could come and go as I pleased. We saw sights we would never have seen. At one point, we were told to scan the side of the mountain for mountain goats... And sure enough, there was a mountain goat! This was the best $5 I spent on this vacation. I will always look for this app in the future. Is there one for Florida where I live? Thanks for a terrific full-day tour.

We used the Banff-Lake Louise and Icefields Parkway tours on our trip to the Canadian Rockies. We downloaded the apps using the wifi at our hotel, which took around 5 minutes. We loved the feature that you could use these apps as an international traveller with no cell coverage. By using these apps, we learned a lot more about the area than had we just driven by ourselves. We also found neat trails we would have otherwise never done. This app is definitely worth it.

We downloaded 4 tours for our Rocky Mountain vacation and loved the informative and entertaining commentary from each one. They made the landscape come alive and allowed us to visit places we would have missed on our own. We will look for more of these guides wherever we travel.

The drive is long and gypsy made the experience intimate, educational, and entertaining. Loved it and will definitely do another one at another destination!
